Day 34
TODAY WAS OUR LAST DAY IN LONDON! Sad!!!!! It was also my last day in the Lea Valley ward, so so sad. Mandy and I went to nursery again and dealt with the crazy Becky who we had to stop from knocking down block towers and hitting the other children the whole time. I decided her favorite hobby is to do the exact opposite of anything we tell her to do. That child is insane! So I can’t say I will miss the nursery there very much, but I had some funny experiences. During sacrament meeting it started pouring like crazy, which worried me because of course I had forgotten my umbrella, stupid me. When church ended it was still coming down hard, so Mandy offered to share her umbrella. We had to really huddle so we didn’t get wet, so we had our arms around each other and it was so dang cute. On our way home I got off at a different stop than usual to switch lines because Robyn and I were meeting to go to the Levens’ house! The Levens are a family that is really good friends with my family- my dad met them on his mission and has known them ever since. It was so fun! We had an amazing dinner of beef and potatoes and vegetables and I ate a ton. After dinner we talked for a while and played some games, and we also got some of our homework done which was nice. We have some dialect surveys we had to do, so we asked them questions about their accents and it was really fun. We also played around with their grandchildren, who are really funny and full of energy. That night Austin (the dad/grandpa of the family) drove us home, which was so exciting for us after having to tube and walk everywhere!
