Today we started out by going to church near our hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed for Sacrament meeting, but Jourdan really wanted us to pretend to be in Young Women’s and go. If you know me then you know I look a little young. It is super fun when we go on vacation as a family, because people never believe us when we tell them how old we are. Most of the time people think Conner is the oldest, followed by me, then Jourdan, then Tanner. Yeah, Conner is 17 and I am almost 22.
Anyway, after church we went to Boston and got on a trolley tour of the city. Our tour guide was kind of crazy, let me rephrase that, she was insane. She talked non-stop and liked to sing a lot…it was interesting. One upside was that she was so loud it was impossible to fall asleep! Really though, it was entertaining. We basically just drove all around Boston and saw the famous sites like the Old North Church, the site of the Boston Massacre, Paul Revere’s house, and of course my dad’s favorite Fenway Park.
After the tour we went to little Italy and found a good Italian restaurant to eat at. Although they put us in the back away from everyone probably since we are tacky tourists, the food was really good. Jourdan even got to talk to the manager in Italian after we ate. We then went down the street and got some gelato, then went back to the car. I really would have loved to walk around and see some more things, but the weather was horrible. It was super windy and would practically blow your umbrella out of your hands if you tried to use one. And the rain-it was just like a little drizzle/mist, but it was just enough to get you sufficiently damp but not enough to really feel it much. So when you put those things together, you just get this really annoying rain that blows into your face and you can’t do much about it. We drove to Cambridge after this to see all the schools there. In Cambridge are Harvard and MIT along with a bunch of other not as prestigious schools. I wish we could have done a tour similar to Yale, but they didn’t have one so we just ended up driving around.
