Day 25
Today we didn’t do much again. I slept in a little and then spent the morning catching up on stuff like my blog and my homework. At 5 Robyn and I went to Spamalot. Since it was at a weird/early time we got really good seats for cheap- the 5th row in the middle! It was a really silly show, and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Probably my favorite part was anything the Lady of the Lake sang- she has this great song she sings called “once in every show” in which she sings about how once in every show there has to be a sappy slow song that changes keys and ends with a kiss. And of course, that was exactly the kind of song it was. At the end they showered the audience with these little crepe paper circles which proceeded to go all sorts of lovely places like down my shirt and into my purse. Once we got home we found about 10 in various places on our persons. Also in a not-at-all related note, for some reason Robyn and I always wear pink shirts on the same day and it is really funny. She has a bunch and only have like 2, but no matter what every time I wear one of mine she is wearing one of hers. We don't do it on purpose, and you would think living in a tiny room together we would notice things like this, but we don't.
Since I didn’t have much to write about, I have decided to include a list I have been working on entitled “Things I Miss about America.” I know, like I could miss anything. But you would be surprised! Keep in mind, this list is in no way a complaint about my current situation nor are the items on the list things I can’t live without.
Things I Miss about America:
free refills
air conditioning
getting rushed out of restaurants
getting rushed out of any place
public toilets
drinking fountains
the dollar
my own bed
my family
my friends
clean air and lack of cigarette smoke
sinks with only one faucet
my cell phone, especially the EZ tip calculator
Note: these are not in order of how much I miss them. I do not miss free refills more than my family. Just to clarify.
